red oxx packing cubesWhile we were in Montana getting a behind the scenes tour of their factory, Red Oxx launched a brand new product – Packing Cubes. Designed and built based upon feedback from avid business and recreational travelers, the Packing Cubes were created to help better organize your clothes, electronics, EDC items, or kit when hitting the road.

The Red Oxx Packing Cubes come in five different sizes: Kingfisher (larger), Bushbaby (medium), Meerkat (long), Armadilla (small), and Hedgehog (extra small). Each Packing Cube is made from soft, light-weight 400 denier nylon pack cloth that has been urethane coated for durable water-resistant protection. The cubes are closed via a sturdy #5 YKK Vislon® zipper. Vibrant, light reflective matching Monkey Fists have been added to the zipper pulls for ease of use and visibility.

Red Oxx Packing CubesThe lids of the Packing Cubes are made from a see-through soft mesh. This allows you to easily see the cube’s contents. The cubes also have a one-inch wide nylon handle for carrying them or use as an easy way to grab them out of your kit. Just like all of Red Oxx’s US made bags and travel gear, the Packing Cubes come with their famous “No Bull” lifetime warranty. Not that you’ll need it cause they’re built extra stout, but it’s always nice to know that you never have to worry about them or something happening to them.

The new Packing Cubes range in price from $15 to $25 each and you can mix and match sizes to build your own cube system. I’ve been using a pre-release set for a couple of weeks now and I can already tell you that the Armadilla is perfect for packing your Chucks or flip flops while the Kingfisher is great for keeping your t-shirts and button-ups from getting trashed in your bag. MOTUS will be doing a full review on the Red Oxx Packing Cubes in the weeks ahead. However, if you want to go ahead and grab yourself a set in the meantime or learn more about them, check out the Red Oxx website. All of their new cubes are in stock and already shipping from their Montana factory.
