Back in April, Rugged Ridged announced the official release of their all-new Exo-Top for four-door Jeep Wranglers. While we were told a two-door version was in the works at the time, it wasn’t until last week that we got the official news – the Rugged Ridge Exo-Top is now available for two-door 2007-2015 Jeep Wrangler JK models.
The Exo-Top is a unique solution for soft-top Wrangler owners who want to keep that full, open-air Jeep experience, but still be able to haul gear to the campsite or trail. The Exo-Top allows the vehicle owner to conveniently open or remove the Jeep’s soft top without having to unload any gear or cargo from the roof rack. The integrated roof rack has a 300-lb. capacity and is used to externally suspend the soft top using a series of Velcro straps along the perimeter to give it its shape and rigidity.
The Exo-Top also features a Sun Slider, which allows the Jeep’s owner to slide back the front section of the top with just the release of two clips. Drivers and passengers can instantly get a full open-top experience without ever having to get out of the vehicle. The two-door model, just like the four-door version, is a patent-pending Rugged Ridge design and is a direct bolt on installation. No drilling is required and the rack is compatible with most standard rack attachments and accessories.
The top, which is Rugged Ridge part number 13516.01, is now available for purchase from authorized online retailers and has an MSRP of $1,600.99. The four-door version, part number 13516.02, sells for slightly more at $1,733.99. Contributor Logan Rogue of Rogue Dynamics has been testing the four-door version of the Rugged Ridge Exo-Top since it launched in April and we’ll be posting his review and thoughts on it in the very near future. In the meantime, to learn more about the top or to order one for yourself, visit the Rugged Ridge website for more details.
